Who will stay and who will go

I would like the following players to leave

Sachin
Agarkar
Ganguly
Harbhajan
Kumble

And the following to be added

Kaif
Raina
Murli Karthik
Ramesh Powar
Nehra

Nehra is surprise , given his experience, he deserves to be in the team. Provided if he can prove in the Raji matches. Indian system always gives second chances to the batsmen but not to the bowlers.

Lets look at the reason for failing in this tournment. Contrary to poplular opinion it is not Batsmen, its bowlers who let us down. I know its a surprise argument. My argument is that SriLanka's bowlers are good enough to get us out for 185. And Bangladesh restricted us to 191. On the contrary our bowlers couldn't restrict Bangladesh to 191 and let SriLanka make 255.

Second reason is fielding. Which is obvious. We gave probably 20-30 extra runs.

Having said that the batsmen did fail, but only for the SriLanka match.
The team must have thought that the Bangla match is a cake walk. By the time they have lost it , they became more cautious and allowed the pressure to get to them.

Bottomline , the culprits are our batsmen sometimes and the other times its our bowlers.
Hey lets face it we have always had good batsmen in the history of of indian cricket.
But baring Kapil and Bedi , Kumble , there are only few bowlers.

We need to create more bowlers , and give them good chances. Look at the case of Balaji, RP Singh and VRV , these guys slowly will fade into the sunset. Where as batsmen were given more and more chances the likes of Venugopal Rao, Raina ....

Also the popular notion that we should be meat eaters to be able to throw a ball at 145 KMPH is B.S . Vegetatians can be muscular and fit too. All we need is to visit the Gym everyday, check the tummy line.
Look at any western team , they are all fit , atleast most of them ( they do have David Boons ). Then take a look at Indian team or Pakistan or SriLanka for that matter.
None in these three teams looks as hulking as Greame Smith or Andrew Symonds.
Also none is as agile as Micheal Clark or Develliers.
Its time to nurture good bowlers and fielders.
The approach should be almost Chineseque, authoritarian, focussed.
The coach / captatin needs to be given the task of implementing the strict authoritative regime.
There should be bench marks for fitness such as any player who can't do a 100m in 14 seconds will be out.
If we follow this strict physical fitness program and produce quality bowlers we can get back our glory , I hope we are not destined the Indian Hockey Way.

P.S :- Batsmen will always be avialable, we don't need to do anything ,the batters are by product of the system.
